The Energy Top saves hundreds of dollars in annual heating and cooling costs for homeowners across America! It efficiently seals fireplace chimneys with defective leaky or missing fireplace dampers. It attaches to the flue tile liner with silicone adhesive. A chain drops down the chimney and is threaded through a bracket that mounts onto the fireplace wall. Energy Top Fireplace Dampers are made for use only with open burning masonry fireplace chimneys and are NOT suitable for use with fireplaces burning gas logs, or where wood stoves have been installed.
The Energy Top Plus Damper opens to a pre-set height and serves as a chimney cap when closed. It is like two products in one. The stainless steel screen keeps animals from inhabiting your fireplace and the damper creates an efficient and effective seal.
