New Year's Resolutions
Here we go again! Ah, the start of yet another new year, guess it’s time to look back at all the things we either didn’t do last year or we did do and they just didn’t measure up to our own expectations.
Are you still smoking, or has your waistline gotten smaller? Is your work schedule finally as organized as you would like it to be? We all try to think of ways we can spend our time better to get the proper balance between work and family.
While some of us are much more disciplined about making resolutions and sticking to them throughout the year, many of us only give it a few thoughts only because everyone else is doing it. Most people will promptly forget their resolutions in a day or two, or maybe a week, but very few last beyond a month.
Setting New Year’s resolutions is the same as setting goals. The first thing you need to do is set your goals for the whole year and not just a few weeks or months. It’s also just as important that these new resolutions are realistic and attainable. You don’t want to be berating yourself in May by asking, “how could I ever have thought I could do that.”
You want to attain your goals, without sacrificing your sanity at the same time. It won’t be a successful year if you live it under constant stress trying to reach unrealistic goals.
If you were able to sell 10 widgets last year don’t set your goal at 150 or higher. You will be better served if you set your goal at 36 or so. Then at the end of the first quarter when your goal was to have sold 9 widgets, and you actually sold 12 or 13 you can give yourself a pat on the back for exceeding your goal. This will help keep you motivated and to “press onward.” In any case Happy New Year!
A True Warranty
As you can see by our monthly special there is a nice savings on Exhausto fans. These fans are the only guaranteed solution for smoking fireplaces. Did you know that for any reason you or your customer wants to return an Exhausto fan, you can do so during the first six months after the purchase date. Exhausto will give you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Now that’s a true warranty. In all the years we’ve sold Exhausto fans, only one was ever returned. After two months the homeowner decided she didn’t like the color anymore!
