Where are you going?
Have you ever thought about where you and your business are going? More importantly, have you ever written it down? We know you’ve heard it a thousand times, “Write down your goals.”
Where do you want you and your business to be in two, five, or ten years? If you think about it, how can you ever expect to get anywhere if you don’t know and plan where it is you are going.
What is your first step? How far have you gone? How much further do you still need to go? How can you measure your progress? Without proper planning and set goals, it’s virtually impossible to answer any of these questions.
Most successful companies and their owners know where they are, and what is needed to do to get them where they are going. They simply compare what they have done with what they intended to do.
When they find a disparity between the two, they don’t waste any time closing the gap. That gap won’t close by accident, it will take intentional changes. The old “seat of your pants” method just won’t get it done in today’s business world.
You need to have a vision of where you want to be in two, five and ten years. More importantly, write it down.
Have you every looked up “rape” in the dictionary? The first definition is, “a non-consenting sexual act.” The second definition is “abusive treatment.”
Have you found that recently, when you look at how much you’ve had to pay for freight and/or shipping and handling, you feel like you may have been subjected to “abusive treatment?”
In recent months we have been hearing from many of our valued customers comments like “I can’t believe they quoted me $160.00 for freight on a liner and you guys got it to me for $79.00” or they said, “fuel costs are the reason freight has gotten so high.”
Here at Lindemann Chimney Supply we have seen slight increases in freight costs as the cost of fuel continues to rise. While there is not a whole lot we can do to stop OPEC from raising the price of crude oil per barrel, which makes all of us feel abused; there is something we can do. We will continue to give you our guarantee that whatever our freight costs are, that amount and only that amount is what will be passed along to you.
In the event that you should place an order with one of our competitors, check and see how much you had to pay for freight, then give us a call toll free and let us give you a free freight quote for the same item(s), you might be quite surprised on how much money you just “gave away.” After all “that’s your money.”
