Flue Gas Probe Thermometer

$37.49
SKU: 610302

Burning a wood stove without a thermometer is like driving your car with no speedometer. It's hard to know precisely how well the fire is burning. The Chim-Guard Surface Thermometer, top left, is magnetic and sticks to either stovepipe or the stove top. Accuracy is within 5%. The Inferno Stove Top Thermometer, bottom left, is calibrated to measure Fahrenheit temperatures on the stove top. It features gray, white, and orange burn-temperature zones. For accurate flue gas temperatures, use the Flue Gas Probe Thermometer. Catalytic Thermometers are used with catalytic stoves and help to monitor when the catalytic unit should be engaged and when temperatures are too cool. With an alternate heat source such as a wood or a gas stove, the thermostat typically does not turn on the furnace or boiler. When some areas of the home are closed off to the heat (such as spare bedrooms) or some of the heating pipes are run through walls, exposure to conditions on cold windy days might cause them to freeze. ThermGuard circulates warmed air through the house using the furnace fan. With a boiler, it circulates hot water when your thermostat does not. This hot water circulation will keep the pipes from freezing. It easily mounts under the thermostat allowing the homeowner to program their circulator or furnace blower.
