DirectVent Pro Pipe Extension

Use to add length to a straight length of DirectVent Pro. 8 ½” pipe adds 3” - 7” of length, 16” pipe adds 3” - 14 ½” of length, when used with rigid sections of pipe. Direct vent lengths feature a fully unitized, twist-lock construction. Use of sealant is optional, unless specified by the appliance manufacturer. Available in black or
galvalume exterior (both feature laser-welded outer wall seams). Does not fit DirectVent GS pipe.

The following design recommendations are general guideline to assist in the selection and design of venting components for your installation. Always follow DuraVent Installation instructions before installing your chimney system.  The directions are enclosed with the support box or cap. The Installation instructions can also be viewed on the Additional Products Info Tab.

Important: Check the manufacturer’s plate and instruction manual to confirm that the DirectVent is approved for use on the appliance you are installing.

• The inner and outer pipe diameters should equal the outlet size of the appliance.

• Check the appliance manufacturer’s installation instructions to verify which types of vent configurations are allowed (example:
vertical, horizontal, chimney reline, etc.). Check for any venting restrictions such as maximum or minimum vertical rise, maximum horizontal run, maximum offset, etc.

• Maintain Clearances.  Maintain at least the minimum air space between the vent pipe and combustibles, as stated in the appliance manufacturer’s installation instructions. Use proper bracing and support. Follow all local building codes and when finished have your
venting system inspected.
