Vacu-Stack Chimney Cap
The ideal chimney caps for single wall pipe!
The Vacu-Stack VSS Chimney Cap is a universal, solid pack, factory-built chimney cap used for round, single wall, Class “A”, and Type B gas vent chimney pipe. This cap is constructed of 26 gauge, 304 stainless steel and fits into pipe easily using the “spring fit” system - simply squeeze the base of the cap, slide it into the pipe, and the cap will grip firmly as it expands outwards.
Vacu-Stack Chimney Caps are primarily used for solving common wind-related chimney draft problems caused by conditions such as hills & mountains, tall trees, or tall buildings nearby.
The Vacu-Stack VSS Chimney Cap can also be used for masonry chimneys when paired with a masonry adapter (sold separately). This cap comes standard with no screen but is available with either 1" or 1/2”, clog resistant mesh screens. No More Worries!!! Excellent Chimney Cap
by Nate Seward
I don't normally write reviews, but had to let folks know about my experience. After worrying about being smoked out of the house any time the wind blew stonger than 20 mph and waking up in the middle of the night to a house full of smoke, I found this fantastic chimney cap. We live in the Rocky Mountains and have a steeply pitched roof to shed snow. Anytime the wind blew, we'd get backdrafts down our chimney. As the father of three and trying to heat our home with wood, I was a nervous wreck anytime it got windy. This chimney cap has completely resolved the issue. I have noticed that the updraft has tapered off a bit over winter, likely because of sot build-up on the wire-mesh (sold separately) to keep birds from flying down the pipe, but I suspect I'll be able to easily restore the updraft flow again by cleaning it.
<br>I can't tell you how much better I sleep knowing I don't have to worry about downdrafts any more! Excellent product! Thank you!!
