SURFACE PREPARATION

For best results, areas to be sealed should be cleaned of debris and basically dry, although moderate amounts of dampness will not interfere with adhesion. Remove dust, dirt, or other contaminants by use of rag or brush. For maximum adhesion to heavily oiled or dirty surfaces, areas should be cleaned with a solvent and allowed to dry.

TOOLING & APPLICATION

On surfaces such as metal, concrete, or asphalt, apply Crown Safe with brush, trowel, or putty knife into seams and cracks using crossing strokes. Extend Crown Safe coverage to 3" to 4" beyond problem areas to ensure best seal. Apply Crown Safe at a rate of 1/16" to 1/8" per coat and do not thin coating. Allow 24 hours to fully cure, then inspect and re-coat if necessary. Paint if desired after Crown Safe has cured with latex or most oil-based paints.

CLEANING

Remove Crown Safe from tools before curing. This may be done by scraping and/or use of solvent based cleaners. Cured materials may be removed by cutting with sharp tools. Observe manufacturer’s precautions when using toxic or flammable solvents.

CAUTION

CONTAINS AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS. VAPOR HARMFUL, use only with adequate ventilation. Contents are COMBUSTIBLE, and must be kept away from heat and open flame. To avoid overexposure, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during interior application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches, or dizziness, increase fresh air, or wear respiratory protection. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and wash hands thoroughly after using. Keep container closed when not in use and do not transfer contents to other containers for storage.

FIRST AID

In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water for fifteen minutes and seek medical attention. For skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of respiratory difficulty, provide fresh air and call physician. If swallowed, call Poison Control Center, hospital emergency room, or physician immediately. DELAYED EFFECTS FROM LONG TERM OVEREXPOSURE. Contains solvents that can cause permanent brain and nervous system damage. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents can be harmful or fatal.
